Our opinion is that your loved one should talk with an attorney first. Expungement and pretrial diversion both run through the court, and an attorney can give legal advice on your loved one’s situation. The Stay-Out Program works alongside that, with housing, recovery, and work support.
No. The program adds support around a client’s life; it never replaces court-ordered requirements, check-ins, or the advice of an attorney. Every client still must appear at every court date.
